All three of the main indexes finished Friday up on the day as the stock market continued the strong start it has made under the presidency of Joe Biden. The Nasdaq again led the way with a 0.5% rise, while the S&P was not far behind, up 0.47%. The Dow closed up a more modest 0.09%.
Biden continues to lead Donald Trump on two of the three indexes after 24 days of presidency. Trump continues to have a stronger Dow performance, but Biden has better cumulative gains on both the Nasdaq and S&P.
Biden continues to have substantially better cumulative gains than Barack Obama did at this stage of his presidency. He has seen all three indexes rise by around 5% more than his Democratic predecessor.
