Jobs Growth Lower In April; March Figures Revised Down

April jobs growth was 266,000 according to the latest US jobs growth figures. The figure for March was also adjusted downwards from 916,000 to 770,000.

Joe Biden has now seen the US labor force increase by 1.15% since he took office, although as the graph shows, the rate of jobs growth has begun to level off.

If we compare the start that Biden has made with the one that Donald Trump made we can see that Biden has done better. Trump had a jobs growth of 0.35% at the same stage of his presidency.

Biden is streets ahead of Barack Obama at the same stage in their presidencies. Obama had actually seen a net loss of jobs at this point as part of the recession that the US was going through around that time.
