Economy Adds 379,000 Jobs In First Full Month Under Biden

The US economy gained 379,000 jobs in February as it continued to adjust to the impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. That means total employment has risen by 0.29% since President Joe Biden took office.

That is more than twice as much as Donald Trump had managed at this stage in his presidency. The businessman saw jobs growth of 0.13% at the same time in his presidency.

Biden has done even better when compared with Barack Obama at this stage in his presidency. Obama had seen a negative jobs growth rate of 0.55%, meaning that Biden has already opened up a lead on this metric of almost 1 percentage point.

If we compare Biden to George W. Bush, we also see that Biden has a healthy lead there as well.
